Continuous Improvement

The need to have the capability to produce very high quality, defect-free products has led Enusa to work with the most modern continuous improvement techniques from the very beginning of its business.

In 1990 it had its first contacts with total quality, in 1992 the ISO 9001 certification was obtained, in 1995 the first improvement projects were carried out, and in 1997 the Six Sigma methodology was adopted as a basic improvement tool.

In 2000 the first EFQM self-assessment was performed, in 2002 the Quality Management system certification was obtained as per ISO 9001:2000, and finally, in 2007, the European GOLD (+500 points) Seal of Excellence was obtained.

Continuous Improvement Tools

Continuous improvement is a task that requires very diverse, multiple tools which the technicians should know how to select and use so that improvement projects not only achieve the desired results, but also –and this is very important– are accomplished efficiently.

These tools include reengineering, kaizen, lean, statistical techniques, teamwork, creativity techniques, numeric simulation, operations research, Seis Sigma etc. These tools are known in Enusa and are used to improve all the processes.
