Quality. Six Sigma

Enusa constantly strives to maintain its technological capability and offer fuel that can be tailored to the needs of each customer. This continuous improvement policy is essential to maintain the strategic lines in the fuel business and to ensure growth and competitiveness.

Six Sigma is a tool that assures the quality of services, which is currently a key factor for the survival of any company since customers are not willing to accept defects in products and services.

Six Sigma dates back to the early 1980s when Motorola was one of the American companies that was most painfully feeling the effects of the entry of Japanese competitors in the electronic component manufacturing market.

In this context, Mikel Harry, who worked with a group of statisticians in this U.S. company, began to perfect a series of mathematical techniques in order to improve the production processes. Thanks to Harry’s techniques, which were named Six Sigma, Motorola’s situation improved considerably and in just a few years it drastically reduced both the defects in its products and the production costs.
