Enusa has always integrated the most innovative technology into its equipment and processes to improve both the end product offered to the nuclear power plants and the standards of quality and environmental safety. This innovative capacity is essential to be able to rapidly respond to the needs of customer.

Enusa earmarks 5% of its sales for R&D. This allows it, on one hand, to invest in in-house programs for developing manufacturing, processes, as is the case of the Automatic Pellet Inspection System installed in its Juzbado factory, he only one of its kind in industry factories.

On the other hand, in collaboration with its licensors (GNF and Westinghouse), other companies with which it has technological agreements (such as MHI), regulatory bodies or customers, it takes part in international nuclear development projects, e.g. the High Burnup Program.
