Environmental Management
The goal of environmental management as developed by Enusa is to identify and prevent the possible environmental effects of the company’s activity and to minimize its impact on the environment.
To this end, Enusa faithfully applies the provisions established in current environmental legislation. Thus, its management system is based on the manuals, procedures and standards approved by the competent regulatory authorities, and it is permanently updated with the most suitable practices and the most effective technologies for the work carried out at all times.
Juzbado Factory Environmental Management System
Enusa has implemented in its Juzbado factory an Environmental Management System certified since 1999 by AENOR, as per the requirements of Standard ISO 14.001:1996 and, subsequently, since 2005, as per the new Standard UNE-EN-ISO 14.001. Enusa was the first company in Salamanca and the thirteenth in Castilly y León to obtain this certification.
In addition, as one more step in its effort to respect and protect the environment, in 2003 Enusa verified its Environmental Management System as per European Regulation 761/2001, EMAS, and renewed this verification in 2006, thus confirming the maturity of Enusa’s Environmental Management.
Both the Enusa
environmental policy and its environmental management
system can be consulted in the
Environmental Declaration of the Juzbado
fuel assembly factory.
