Radiation Protection

As part of its environmental policy, and because of the nature of its business sector, Enusa Industrias Avanzadas S.A. has developed a radiation protection system in keeping with the recommendations of the International Radiation Protection Commission. It periodically submits the system to the approval and audit of the Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear, which in turn regularly reports to the Spanish Congress on the operations of nuclear and radioactive facilities.

This system includes several programs that Enusa develops in two of its work centers: in its Juzbado factory and in its Ciudad Rodrigo Environmental Center.

These programs are of two types:

- Environmental Radiation Monitoring Program.

- Radiation Monitoring Program, based on general measurements of a personal nature (for this program, stand-alone respiratory equipment, individual dose meters that measure the level of radiation exposure and periodic medical checkups are used).
