Corporate Social Responsibility
The commitment of Enusa Industrias Avanzadas, S.A. is to make the development of our activities compatible with care and respect for the environment, with the professional and human development of all the people who work in this company, and with the creation of wealth for both our shareholders and the social environment where our activities are located –in short, to meet the expectations our stakeholders have of us”.
José Luis González
President of Enusa Industrias Avanzadas, S.A.
According to the European Economic and Social Committee; CSR is “the voluntary integration by companies of social and environmental concerns into their commercial operations and relations with their stakeholders”.
In Enusa we are aware of the important role that the company plays in society and, consequently, of the need to be involved with it.
Corporate Social Responsibility requires a new business management model that combines this need for social involvement with the generation of wealth, while causing a minimum of impact on the environment, and the creation of added value in everything we do and for all those persons and sectors with which we interact.
Therefore, in 2006 we began drawing up a CSR Master Plan which we are sure will be a magnificent instrument to help us meet the expectations of our stakeholders as best as possible. This Master Plan is the latest and firmest step take by Enusa towards social, environmental and economic commitment, after a slow but fruitful process launched in 2002 by joining the Global Compact of the United Nations and by approving our Corporate Code of Conduct in 2004.
