Last Thursday, November 17, ENUSA commemorated its 50th anniversary with an emotional institutional event held at the Francisco Giner de los R\u00edos Foundation, in Madrid. A meeting in which ENUSA looked back to take a tour of its history and remember with the attendees all the experiences shared in these years. At the same time, it was an opportunity to highlight the promising future that the organization has ahead.<\/p>\n

\nThe president of the ENUSA Group, Mariano Moreno, began the event with his speech, in which he stated: \u00abI would dare to say that nothing is left over from what we have experienced because even the difficulties and problems have helped us to be stronger and outdo; In what we have left to live, which will be many more years, let ourselves be guided by our values and principles, apply intelligence and know how to adapt to the times that are coming, with their uncertainties and opportunities, which will allow us to give the best of ourselves as we have done throughout these unforgettable 50 years\u00bb<\/p>\n

Those attending the event<\/h3>\n

The event was attended by the different ENUSA interest groups. Authorities were present; customers; media; representatives of the areas of influence; of the organizations that participate in ENUSA; of the regulatory body and the nuclear sector.<\/p>\n

Among those present were the president of SEPI, Bel\u00e9n Gualda, who in her speech highlighted that in its 50 years of history, ENUSA \"has always obtained benefits, helping to balance the group's accounts and has contributed in a formidable way to the \"Continuous improvement of the Spanish public sector, always at the forefront of business, highlighting firm and committed values.\"<\/p>\n

The president of the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN), Juan Carlos Lentijo, also attended the celebration; the president of the Spanish Nuclear Society (SNE) and CEO of GDES, H\u00e9ctor Dominguis, and the president of the Nuclear Forum, Ignacio Araluce.<\/p>\n

In addition, they sent a digital greeting message to the Director General of the Agency
\nInternational Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi; the General Director of the World Nuclear Association (WNA), Sama Bilbao; the General Director of CIEMAT, Yolanda Benito; the Magnificent Rector of the University of Salamanca, Ricardo Rivero, and the president of Westinghouse Spain, Xavier Coll.<\/p>\n

A recognition of three presidents of ENUSA<\/h3>\n

One of the most notable moments of the event was bringing together, in the same event, four of the seven presidents who have led ENUSA throughout its history. The current president, Mariano Moreno, presented recognition to three presidents of the organization: Jos\u00e9 Manuel Jim\u00e9nez Arana, Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez and Jos\u00e9 Vicente Berlanga.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Manuel Jim\u00e9nez Arana was president of ENUSA from 1982 to 1991 and, during his administration, he faced years of compromise due to the delay in the commissioning of nuclear power plants under construction. A milestone of his management is the start-up of the Juzbado factory, whose beginnings also presented difficulties that Jim\u00e9nez Arana was able to solve with notable success.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Luis Gonz\u00e1lez, president of ENUSA from 1997 to 2018, was the architect of the internationalization and diversification of the company, taking the company's activity beyond our borders and expanding the business lines. Furthermore, during his mandate, the ENUSA Group was formed, with the entry of the subsidiaries ETSA and EMGRISA.<\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Vicente Berlanga was president of ENUSA from 2018 to 2021, his term coinciding with the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the world in March 2020 and involved managing the company in turbulent and uncertain times. Furthermore, during his management, the ENUSA Strategic Plan until 2030 was prepared and approved.<\/p>\n

The event closed with Imagine by John Lennon, a lyric that invites us to imagine a better tomorrow; a future that is built daily at ENUSA thanks to the work of its human team.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
