ENUSA y Westinghouse han firmado un Acuerdo Marco de Cooperaci\u00f3n (FCA) para colaborar en el desarrollo del Combustible Tolerante a Accidentes EnCoreTM , actualmente en curso en Westinghouse. Este dise\u00f1o revolucionario incorpora conceptos como vainas de aleaci\u00f3n de circonio recubiertas con cromo, vainas de carburo de silicio (\u00abSiC\u00bb) y pastillas de combustible de siliciuro de uranio (U3Si2), y tiene como objetivo una mayor tolerancia a la p\u00e9rdida temporal de refrigerante, derivado de la experiencia en la central nuclear de Fukushima.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enusa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/ATF.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.enusa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/ATF-300x244.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"244\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3452\" \/><\/a>El  FCA recientemente firmado establece el marco que regular\u00e1 los diferentes proyectos conjuntos de colaboraci\u00f3n (JDP) que se lanzar\u00e1n entre ambas compa\u00f1\u00edas. ENUSA podr\u00e1 realizar una valiosa contribuci\u00f3n a los mismos, fruto de las capacidades t\u00e9cnicas y la amplia experiencia en las \u00e1reas comercial, de ingenier\u00eda y fabricaci\u00f3n de combustible.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, el primer JDP se formalizar\u00e1 en los pr\u00f3ximos d\u00edas y el objetivo ser\u00e1 evaluar la aplicaci\u00f3n de conceptos como barras segmentadas y desarrollar modelos de comportamiento de combustible ATF \/ EnCoreTM, considerando la primera introducci\u00f3n de barras combustibles de demostraci\u00f3n en la central nuclear de Byron en los Estados Unidos en 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A este primer JDP le seguir\u00e1n otros en el \u00e1rea de c\u00f3digos y m\u00e9todos, combustible gastado y tecnolog\u00eda de fabricaci\u00f3n e inspecci\u00f3n de combustible.<\/p>\n<p>Por otra parte, la posici\u00f3n de ENUSA en los mercados espa\u00f1ol y europeo facilitar\u00e1 los acuerdos con los clientes para lanzar programas de demostraci\u00f3n ATF \/ EnCoreTM en sus plantas.<\/p>\n<p>La firma del FCA servir\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n para fortalecer las relaciones t\u00e9cnicas y comerciales entre ENUSA y Westinghouse, formalizadas a trav\u00e9s de los acuerdos recientemente extendidos del European Fuel Group \u00abEFG\u00bb y de Licencia.<\/p>\n<p>[:en]25\/05\/2018. Westinghouse and ENUSA have signed a Frame Cooperation Agreement (FCA), to collaborate in the development of the EnCoreTM Accident-Tolerant Fuel currently underway in Westinghouse. This revolutionary design incorporates concepts like zirconium alloy cladding coated with chromium, silicon carbide ceramic cladding (\u00abSiC\u00bb) and uranium silicide fuel pellets (U3Si2), and aims at greater tolerance for the temporary loss of coolant, derived from the experience at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enusa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/ATF.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.enusa.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/ATF-300x244.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"244\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-3452\" \/><\/a>The newly signed FCA establishes the framework that will regulate the different Joint Collaboration Projects (JDPs) to be launched between both companies. ENUSA will be able to make a valuable contribution to those projects based on the technical capabilities and the extensive experience in the commercial, engineering and fuel manufacturing areas.<\/p>\n<p>In this sense, the first JDP will be formalized in the coming days and the objective will be to evaluate the application of the segmented rod concept as well as to develop models of ATF \/ EnCoreTM fuel behavior, considering the first introduction of demonstration rods in the Byron nuclear power plant in the United States in 2019. <\/p>\n<p>This first JDP will be followed by others in the area of codes and methods, spent fuel and fuel fabrication and inspection technology.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the position of ENUSA in the Spanish and EFG markets will facilitate agreements with customers to launch ATF \/ EnCoreTM demonstration programs in their plants.<\/p>\n<p>The signing of the FCA will serve also to strengthen the technical and commercial relations between ENUSA and Westinghouse, formalized through the recently extended European Fuel Group \u00abEFG\u00bb and License Agreements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>25\/05\/2018.
