Una delegación del Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear (CSN) encabezada por la consejera Cristina Narbona, se ha reunido con representantes de ENUSA INDUSTRIAS AVANZADAS, S.A. para celebrar un comité de enlace entre el regulador y la empresa.
Ayer lunes visitaron el Centro de Saelices el Chico, en Ciudad Rodrigo, donde el responsable facultativo del centro, Javier Ruiz, enseñó a los miembros del Consejo los trabajos de restauración y vigilancia que se están llevando a cabo en las antiguas instalaciones mineras. Se trata de uno de los proyectos de recuperación medioambiental minera de mayor magnitud acometido en España y uno de los más importantes de la Unión Europea con un presupuesto previsto de 150 millones de euros.
La visita se ha completado esta mañana en la fábrica de elementos combustibles que ENUSA tiene en Juzbado. Durante la jornada, el presidente de ENUSA, José Luis González, y director de la fábrica, Javier Montes, han realizado una presentación sobre la empresa y les han mostrado las instalaciones. La fábrica de Juzbado exportó el año pasado más del 70% a centrales nucleares de Europa.
Se trata de la primera vez que Cristina Narbona visita los centros de ENUSA y tanto ella como el resto de miembros del CSN se han mostrado muy interesados y satisfechos por conocer de primera mano la actividad de ENUSA.
[:en]One delegation from the Nuclear Safety Council (CSN) headed by the Member Ms. Cristina Narbona has met ENUSA’s representatives at the latter facilities in Salamanca for holding a Liaison Bureau between the regulator and the company.
Yesterday Monday they visited the Facility at Saelices el Chico, in Ciudad Rodrigo, where the technician in charge of the site, Mr. Javier Ruiz, showed to the Council’s Members the restoration and surveillance works which are being carried out at the former mining facilities. This is one of the biggest environmental restoration project ever carried out in Spain and one of the most important in the European Union, with an envisaged budget of 150 M€.
The visit was completed this morning at the factory of nuclear fuels which ENUSA has in Juzbado. During the visit, ENUSA’s Chairman, Mr. José Luis González, and the factory’s manager, Mr. Javier Montes, made a presentation about the Company and showed the facilities to the delegates. The Juzbado factory exported last year more than 70% of its production to nuclear power plants in Europe.
This is the first time that Ms. Narbona pays a visit to ENUSA’s facilities, and both she and her companions showed a keen interest on having a firsthand knowledge about ENUSA’s activity, showing their satisfaction with what they had seen.
