Informative talks have been organized in the institutes near the Juzbado fuel factory (Salamanca) and visits/workshops for schools around the Cervera del Maestre Waste Assessment Center (Castellón)

In Spain, Open Administration Week is coordinated and promoted by the General Directorate of Public Governance, with the collaboration of the Open Government Forum.

Entities that join can do so by organizing different types of events: Presentation of plans, open days, workshops, seminars/webinars, launch of participatory processes (consultations), debates/colloquiums/interviews, launch of virtual content (website , applications,...), presentation of publications, contests, institutional advertising campaigns,...

In the case of ENUSA, actions will be carried out focused on bringing several of its facilities and work centers closer to the environment of influence closest to each of them. Thus, informative talks have been organized in the institutes near the Juzbado Fuel Factory (Salamanca) and visits/workshops for schools around the Cervera de Maestre Waste Recovery Center (Castellón).

Informative talks at the Ledesma and Villamayor institutes about the Juzbado Factory

The municipality of Juzbado, in the province of Salamanca, is home to the Juzbado Fuel Factory, one of the most innovative in Europe by incorporating cutting-edge technology that optimizes resources and protects the environment. The center has a specialized and highly qualified team that covers the entire fuel production cycle: supply, supply, storage of uranium, component logistics, fuel manufacturing, product quality level control, development of equipment for the manufacture of PWR, BWR and VVER products and management of logistics and distribution to plants in Spain and some European countries.

In order for the facility's influence environment to know more in detail about the activity carried out there, informative talks have been organized for 3rd and 4th year ESO students at the IESO Miguel de Unamuno institutes (Ledesma). and IESO Tomás Bretón (Villamayor). In them, specialized personnel from the production process as well as from the Radiological Protection area will explain to the students what nuclear energy is, debunking myths rooted in society, and will tell them how nuclear fuel works and how it is manufactured in the factory. ENUSA, one of the most modern nuclear fuel factories in Europe.

These talks will take place on March 20, in Ledesma, and March 24, in Villamayor.

Visits/workshop at the waste recovery plant in Cervera del Maestre (Castellón)

In 2010, ENUSA launched a waste treatment plant in Cervera de Maestre (Castellón) that covers 49 municipalities in zone I of Castellón, whose operation is carried out in collaboration with FOBESA Valorización de Residuos, S.L. and A2A Ambiente, S.P.A.

It is the most advanced biotechnological plant in Spain, which allows us to obtain waste with a high calorific content. The recovery complex system stands out for its high reliability and flexibility, having high operating efficiency with minimal energy consumption and providing high environmental protection. It has two treatment lines, one for organic matter and green waste (composting) and another for the rest fraction, made up of unclassified waste (biodrying).

This center is part of the actions that ENUSA is going to launch within the framework of the Open Administration Week and, for this, workshops and seminars will be held with specialized technical personnel from the center, on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd March, aimed at students from schools in the area in order to promote education, training and environmental awareness through knowledge and visits to the plant.
