ENUSA Industrias Avanzadas and the University of Salamanca have signed this Thursday a framework agreement that regulates the collaboration between the public company and the prestigious academic institution for the promotion and dissemination of scientific and cultural knowledge. The president, José Vte. Berlanga and the corporate director, Charo Arévalo, representing the company and the Hon. and Magfco. Mr. Ricardo Rivero Ortega, representing the University, signed the framework agreement. The parties undertake to establish communication channels to implement initiatives that promote scientific productivity, knowledge transfer, technological development and innovation.

With this framework agreement, ENUSA Industrias Avanzadas demonstrates, once again, its social commitment. In particular, its support for the institutions of the province of Salamanca stands out, where the fuel elements production plant (Juzbado Plant) is located. In this way, the company continues to be actively involved in the transmission of knowledge and training of future generations. Among the activities that make up ENUSA's corporate purpose are the provision of chemical, physical-chemical and radiological analysis services, the issuance of reports and opinions on environmental, energy and technological matters; as well as carrying out studies and technical reports, including those related to radioactive materials and writing projects specific to technological fields.

The agreement includes the principles that will define the company's relationship with the University of Salamanca, in addition to specific collaborative actions: limited-time exchange of students, professors and researchers; encourage their participation in cooperation, education and research projects and programs, projects that could be part of the next Next Generation EU. The joint development of research and development projects and programs is also planned; as well as cooperation in programs for the training of research and technical personnel, students, and administration and service personnel.

With this initiative, ENUSA renews its commitment and endorses sustainable development objective number four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for the achievement of inclusive and quality education. This confirms the need and importance of collaboration between universities and companies, an essential relationship to achieve adequate economic and social development.
